Week 22 is a fascinating time of pregnancy. You feel good, your bump is growing nicely, and you may be wearing more maternity clothes. Wearing maternity clothes is a significant milestone for some, so enjoy it! Remember that if you have any questions or concerns—no matter how small—bring them up with your midwife or doctor. Answering questions is part of their role.

How is your baby growing when 22 Weeks Pregnant?
Your baby is about 19cm from head to bottom and weighs about 460gm. The retinas of their eyes are now fully developed, and they move much of the time. However, at the moment, they have plenty of room in your uterus, so they change positions frequently, and it can be hard to determine what way they are lying.
What You May Feel
While these weeks may offer some relief from the discomforts of pregnancy, there is still plenty happening. You may experience anything from backache and aching hips to leg and foot cramps, swollen ankles or even constipation. No two pregnancies are alike, which means each women’s symptoms can vary. If anything is worrying you, speak to your midwife or doctor for reassurance.
Tips when you are 22 Weeks Pregnant
Make sure you look after yourself! As your baby continues to grow, it’s essential to put yourself first now and then. Once they arrive, babies demand a lot of your time and attention, so for now, focus on yourself when you can. Book a massage to help with any aches and pains. Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure. Find the best way for you to relax and spend some time pampering yourself.
