Congratulations, you have made it to your second trimester! Now is when women often say they start to feel better, and you may even get that sought after pregnancy glow. Your hormones have begun to settle down as the placenta takes over, and your morning sickness may also improve. In addition, you may start to show and feel slight movements, which is magical. The wonder of growing a life!

How your baby is growing when 13 Weeks Pregnant?
Your baby is now 7.5cm and weighs about 30gm. It’s a rapid time of change for your baby. Their liver, pancreas and other organs have begun to function, and even their vocal cords are developing. Their bones are hardening, and soft, fuzzy hair is growing on their brows and head.
What You May Feel
Your bump may now start to show. You may feel a stretching sensation in your groin and tummy area as the ligaments holding your uterus in place lengthen to make room for your baby, which can feel a little uncomfortable. It might be time to pull out your maternity wear and pop on clothes that grow with your bump. Before you know it, your baby will be here, and you may want to hide your tummy for a while.
Tips for when you are 13 Weeks Pregnant
Week 13 is often the time many choose to share the fantastic news with everyone. If you have a partner, discuss this with them first, and plan how you would like to announce your pregnancy. You both need to be on the same page for this one. Be prepared for a variety of reactions! It’s also time to think about telling your employer and discussing your maternity leave options. This early in pregnancy, you don’t need to make any decisions. However, it is good to start these conversations as it prepares everyone involved.
