We are often confused about How to Care for and Clean Silverette Nursing Cups. Before we proceed on how-to’s, let us first discuss a silver. Silver is a metal-containing anti-inflammatory agent that is naturally antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial. With this, a quick rinse with warm water between feeds is enough to keep the cups clean.

The cups can tarnish over time due to the natural oxidisation process in silver. It is, however, still safe and effective to use. To remove the tarnish, make a paste with one teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda and a few drops of water. Rinse and pat dry the cups after rubbing the paste on them.

Although unnecessary, you can clean the cup with a mild base soap (recommended handwash soap). To clean the cups, avoid using harsh detergents, bleach-based agents, sterilising tablets, or hard scourers.
