- To Improve milk flow and increase yield.
- To help feed, clear blocked milk ducts, express and collect colostrum easier.
- To relieve pain and discomfort associated with vasospasm and engorgement.
- To prevent mastitis.
How do I use Breast-Warmers?
- Wear Breast-Warmers ™ 20-30 min before collecting colostrum and expressing breastmilk to achieve improved flow and a greater yield.
- Wear most of the time, or all the time, if you easily get blocked milk ducts and to prevent mastitis.
- Wear 20-30 min before feeding if you are engorged to prevent the milk “getting stuck” which can cause blocked ducts. Blocked ducts can in turn cause mastitis.
- Wear Breast-Warmers all of the time for Vasospasm.
Wear a nursing pad underneath Breast-Warmers if you leak lots of milk. If you leak just a little bit Breast-Warmers work as a thin plastic free nursing pad while it’s warming as well. You can double up in layers if/when you need. The key is to stay warm and dry.
